The Builder
He is a generative artist based in São Paulo, Brazil, with a background in engineering. He uses code — mostly JavaScript — to create his work, which explores geometry always looking for ways to bring organic qualities into the shapes and textures. He came to art driven by the need to make things that are both meaningful and beautiful.
The Collection
Folia is the Portuguese word for revelry, a joyful and noisy celebration. In Brazil, folia is mainly used to refer to Carnival as people take part in vibrant gatherings, wearing colorful costumes and dancing lively rhythms like Samba, Frevo, Axé Music and many others. This collection tries to capture that spirit with vibrant color palettes and shapes that give a feeling of movement. The organic patterns resemble the costumes and decorations associated with this festivity.I've create the Folia algorithm in 2023 and I am revisiting it now with this limited collection.
